Here is the timetable for the 1996 Parliamentary Elections in the Czech Republic.
Please watch this space for updates and further information on each milestone as it approaches.
- April 1
- The last day for parties and coalitions to submit candidates' lists.
- April 15
- The last date for regional election committees to register candidates' lists.
- May 1
- The last date for regional election committes to revise candidates' lists on the basis of appeals.
- May 15
- The election campaign officially opens. The official ballot is finalized. There are 20 parties in the running
- May 29, 1400 hours
- The official end of the election campaign. No more campaigning is allowed before voting on May 31.
- May 31, 1400 to 2200
- The first day of voting.
- June 1, 0700 to 1400
- The second day of voting.
- June 2
- Election results are made available.
- July 26
- A vote of confidence in the newly-formed government was succesful.
